Crawford County Economic Development Partnership and Mainstream partnered in 2020 on the county’s broadband readiness plan which underscored the need for better connectivity in the community. Ultimately, Mainstream Fiber and Crawford County secured a Next Level Connections grant of $3 million to help fund the project. Mainline construction from Milltown through Marengo, Leavenworth, English and Eckerty is underway. Once completed, the fiber will connect more than 1,000 unserved households and over 150 businesses, schools, municipal buildings and other anchor institutions in Crawford County to reliable, high-speed internet.
Mainstream Fiber Networks regional office is located at 2370 Landmark Way NE, Unit 102, Corydon, IN, 47112 and is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 5 PM to answer and questions that Crawford County residents may have.
